Reminder to Register Events
Listen, it’s us. It’s not you.
We did this. We changed the rules.
We know that you’ve already registered for KY Goes to College.
We know you thought you were done.
BUT you’re not.
This year, we are requiring schools to register each event they plan to host through the KY Goes to College Campaign umbrella.

I know what you’re thinking. WHY are we putting in extra steps?
Just like your parents told you when you were a kid: we’re doing this for your own good.
Having your events registered with us does the following:
It lets us know your events are happening so we can support you! We might reach out, we might check in, we might show up. We might feature you on our social media pages or even give you a shout-out to our national partners!
We can share your event dates with colleges and universities to help take the burden off of you. If you need representatives from colleges to come, we can help with that. BUT only if you register your events.
It ensures we can help you get the data that is so important for these events.
It ensures students who have been selected for a College Application Campaign Scholarship can actually access their money. We’ll double-check to make sure you had an application event before we award the $1,000 scholarships, so this may just be the most important reason.
You may be awarded on the national level!! If we know your events were registered, planned, and went off without a hitch, we submit you into a national School of Excellence pool. So your school may receive special recognition.
So don’t wait. If your dates are on your calendar, get them registered today!!
Sincerely,
Casi Benedict Director of Outreach Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority | Brandi Forker Assistant Director of Outreach Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority |
